From population models to model populations
Single cell observation, modeling and control of gene expression

The long-term objective of the Iceberg project is to provide tools for controling precisely the intracellular concentration of proteins in living cells. Such tools will have applications in fundamental research in biology and in biotechnology.

To reach this goal, we develop an experimental control platform combining microfluidics, microscopy and software. The Iceberg project focuses on two central challenges:

Although this project is deeply rooted in biology, methodological developments will be needed in biophysics, computational biology and control. Therefore, it has a strong interdisciplinary aspect.

Iceberg is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR).
